The Board of Directors of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) held its second meeting of 2026, chaired by H.E. Eng. Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, Chairman of the Board, and attended by Board members and Eng. Ibrahim Mohammed Abul, Chief Executive Officer of the Authority.
During the meeting, H.E. Eng. Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf affirmed that the real estate sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to achieve positive indicators, supported by an advanced regulatory and legislative framework. He highlighted RERA’s commitment to further developing regulatory frameworks and enhancing the efficiency of real estate services in line with efforts to support sustainable development goals and strengthen the competitiveness of the real estate sector.
For his part, Eng. Ibrahim Mohammed Abul, Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, reviewed the Authority’s key initiatives and development projects, particularly those related to enhancing regulatory systems and procedures, as well as overseeing licensed real estate projects and real estate professions. These efforts contribute to improving sector efficiency and strengthening regulatory compliance.
He also noted the intensified monitoring and inspection activities carried out by the Authority on licensed real estate projects, which support the stability, growth, and sustainability of Bahrain’s real estate sector.
