Members of the International Development of Ireland (IDI) were received by His Excellency the President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Regulation Authority (RERA). IDI was appointed as the consultancy company to assist in the establishment and operation of RERA and a presentation to the IDI team took place to mark the completion of the consultancy contract which commenced in 2017. His Excellency expressed his gratitude and upmost appreciation to Mr. Ted Bowe, the Executive Director of IDI as well as his team which was headed by Mr. Ian Hyde, the Chief advisor of the IDI team. Their immense role in developing RERA from a legal, regulatory and operations perspective was applauded by His Excellency.
The President of SLRB and the Chairman of the Board of Directors at RERA emphasised the development and progress of RERA over the last three years, including the extensive training programs arranged to professionalise the sector and the implementation of improved processes and systems since the Authority commenced operations in March 2018. RERA has managed to secure a place amongst other governmental entities in a very advanced way whilst regulating the real estate sector, through the supply of services and real estate licenses. The Authority manages and monitors the latest developments of each off-plan real estate project in order to provide the highest levels of assurance to all stakeholders involved.
Development and sustainability have been achieved through work based on modern laws that match Bahrain’s development and growth. His Excellency affirmed that what has been completed today is due to the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin
Isa Al Khalifa, aimed at all that is beneficial for the development of Bahrain and its people, which was translated by the esteemed government through the programs and strategic plans led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister.
On his part, Mr. Ted Bowe, Executive Director of (IDI), thanked His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority and all the RERA team, for their cooperation and support during the company’s assignments and he wished RERA every success for the future.
